Although it’s the off-season, there’s still lots to do around the garden.
Winter is the time to brainstorm ideas, refine garden processes, and start planning our next growing season complete with work parties and opportunities to socialize and get to know our neighbors better.
Here’s just a few things the garden needs help with:
Expanding the Picardo website so it’s full of information that benefits all gardeners. That could mean blogs, photo galleries, and places to share growing strategies, recipes and videos, and highlight the cool things individual gardeners and teams are doing.
Getting our composting system sorted and ready to go for next year.
Issuing a monthly/seasonal newsletter to evangelize upcoming events and ways to participate in the garden. For those who like to write or do artwork, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills!
Any other ideas for next year? The Leadership Team would love to hear them!
